City Clerk/Human Resources

Pursuant to Wyoming Statutes, the City Clerk is responsible for maintaining and preserving the City's historical records.  All major actions, records, and transactions are completed or filed in the City Clerk's office.  The City Clerk is also responsible for attending all official meetings of the Governing Body, record its proceedings, and maintain custody of all agendas, minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts and agreements, and other legislative and historical documents of the Governing Body and the municipality.   

The City of Riverton employs a City Clerk who also serves as the director of the Human Resources functions of the City, as well as manages the Information Technology Division and the Building Maintenance/Custodial Division.  Other functions that the City Clerk/Human Resource Director manages is: bi-weekly payroll, liquor licensing and permits, public notices, annual audit of HR & payroll, annual personnel budgets, public information requests, property and liability insurances, elections, pawn broker licensing, recruitment, and employee training opportunities.  This department also serves as the City's liaison on the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Rally Committee.
