Water

Who do I contact if I have no water?

During business hours, contact the Utility Billing Department at 856-9120. After hours, contact the Riverton Police Department at 856-4891.

Why is my water off?

Your water may be off for several reasons. The first may be for non-payment. You should have received a notice in the mail stating you were behind on your payment. Please contact the Utility Billing Department at 856-9120 during business hours. After hours, contact the Riverton Police Department at 856-4891. Another reason may be that the City has turned it off to repair a leak. Please check here to see if there is a leak in your area.

Why is my water discolored?

If the water is discolored, the City may be flushing mains or fire hydrants in your area. Please run your water for a few minutes and it will clear up.

My water has been turned off to repair a leak. What do I do about drinking water until it is repaired?

If you water is still off after 5 pm, the City will provide bottled water for your use during the evening hours.

Sewer

Who do I contact if my sewer is backing up?

During business hours, contact the Public Works Department at 857-3746 or, if no one answers, contact the Utility Billing Department at 856-9120. After hours, contact the Riverton Police Department at 856-4891.
