The Finance Department coordinates the financial and accounting operations for the City. We strive to provide accurate and timely financial information to enable management and the City Council to make sound financial management decisions.
To citizens of Riverton and the community, we strive to provide information assistance, which is responsive to their needs and uses City resources in the most efficient manner.
Responsibilities include Accounting, Budget, Investments, Cash Management and Grants Administration.
As part of Accounting and pursuant to Wyoming Statutes, the City Clerk is responsible for maintaining and preserving City historical records. The Clerk is also responsible for liquor licensing throughout the City, public notices, preparation of agendas and minutes, and publishing of City Council proceedings.
