Council Member Cory G. Rota Term 2019-2020
1000 Pinecrest St 307-851-1289
I was born in Alpena, Michigan and moved to Riverton in 2003 where I attended Riverton High School and graduated with the class of 2006. After graduating, I attended CWC for a few semesters where I studied business management and administration before becoming a full-time manager at my previous employer. I am now a Mail Carrier for the USPS and have done so for the past 5 years.
I married my high school sweetheart, Whitney (Forbis), who was born and raised in Riverton. Together we have three beautiful little girls and have started two small businesses locally. My daughters are the main reason why I have become so active in the community. I want them to grow up in the best possible environment. We believe Riverton is that community and I want to ensure we do our best to keep it that way.
I have been a member of the local Masonic fraternity in Riverton for 10 years now and I have also been involved with the Riverton Jaycees, Riverton Parks Committee, Big Brother Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club and Mission Possible. I have donated countless hours to many of our local charities and fundraisers throughout the community. I enjoy networking and socializing, listening to podcasts and audio books as well as discussing new ideas and concepts. I am always looking to learn and understand new things.
I look forward to working my hardest and keeping the momentum Riverton offers on a positive pace. I consider it an honor and feel so humbled to serve on the City Council for the City of Riverton.
Council Member Kyle Larson Term 2015-2022

I graduated from the University of Utah in 1968 with a B.S. degree in Chemistry and a minor in Business. After working 17 years in the chemical industry for Kennecott Copper in Utah, I moved to Riverton to accept a Plant Manager position with Koch Sulfur Products and Chemical Marketing Services, where I remained for 10 years. In 1995 I started working in the mortgage origination business, organizing and funding Allstate Home Mortgage Inc. in 1996. For several years running I was their top producer, accounting for 75% of the company's total production. I became Branch Manager for Acceptance Capital Mortgage Inc. in 2009 and remain in that capacity to date. In addition to my 20 years in the mortgage origination business, I helped organize the Wyoming Association of Mortgage Brokers where I was elected to serve as Treasurer. I consider it an honor to serve the citizens of my ward as their City Council Member.

Council Member Rebecca Schatza Term 2018-2020
212 Mesquite Circle 843-368-5744
I was raised in Riverton, Wyoming and graduated from Riverton High School with the class of 2004. I worked in the community for a couple years before joining the United States Marine Corps. During my time enlisted I had the privilege of serving in numerous rewarding billets including Marine Drill Instructor and Marksmanship Instructor Trainer. I had the opportunity to serve in many military operations all over world. I completed my eight-year enlistment in April 2015 and returned home to be close to my family. Once returning home I married my high school sweetheart, Drew Schatza, choosing to stay in Riverton and serve our community. I have continued my service in the government and currently work for a Federal agency.
In our spare time my husband and I enjoy riding four-wheelers, fishing, boating, playing softball, golfing, and hunting. We see all the community has to offer and we do our best to attend local fundraisers. My dog Pepper and I enjoy running on the Rails to Trails and to our many local parks. I volunteer on a few local committees focused on the betterment of Riverton including the Riverton Splash Pad Group, Solutions Committee, and the Parks Committee.
I believe it is important to give back to the community who made me who I am today. It is truly an honor to serve the city of Riverton and I look forward to positively representing this community.
